Manningtree is an attractive small town on the banks of the River Stour in Essex. It has a busy and prosperous market on a Friday and Saturday and visitors are also drawn to the area by its beauty and the reputation of its first class restaurants! Ther are many country pursuits to enjoy in the vicinity with excellent walking (the Essex Way goes through Manningtree), sailing on the River Stour and many great places for fishing, shooting and riding.
